Benchtop "AdVantage" Freeze Dryers

The VirTis AdVantage is the world’s only fully temperature controlled, single shelf, bench-top instrument.

It is already popular in many research laboratories and universities due to its wide range of features and extensive freeze-drying capabilities. Measuring just 56 cm x 53 cm x 66 cm and weighing 118 kg it is small enough to fit onto most laboratory benchtops, while having complete flexibility to process bulk, vials or flasks. It is ideal for small scale freeze drying applications, such as those occurring in pilot or research and development laboratories. Shelf temperature ranges are available from -70°C to +60°C, with temperatures as low as -85°C in the 2.0 litre process condenser.

The AdVantage is supplied with the Wizard2 control system that provides storage of up to 16 separate recipes each with 12 freezing and 16 primary drying steps that include step, hold or rate function and vacuum control for complete flexibility in cycle formulation. The on-board Wizard2 system can be further enhanced with a separate ‘Wizard2 Workstation’ software package for PC control and data storage and manipulation.

These state-of-the-art control systems ensure precise freeze-drying control, particularly important for handling extremely valuable or sensitive biological materials.
