Freeze-Drying Flasks
VirTis Wide-Mouth Filter-Seal flasks are designed to accept many bulky specimens that once had to be
chamber processed anad are especially useful in efficient high-volume shell freezing. They can be used with
Freezemobile and Benchtop "BTK" and
"AdVantage" freeze dryers. Product can also be pre-frozen in flasks with VirTis Shellbaths.
Flasks are also available with a safety coating to protect the user from injury in the
event if implocaion or breakage.
Flasks are available in seven convenient sizes: 40ml, 75ml, 150ml 300ml, 600ml, 1200ml and 2000ml.

96 Well Freeze Drying System
The VirTis 96 well Freeze Drying system consists of a combination of glass or plastic vials and aluminium vial holders. The
aluminium blocks provides fast, even heat transfer across the vials, reducing edge effects often seen in
plastic plates. Stoppers are also available.
Trays
A range of trays are available for VirTis freeze dryers on top of the standard stainless steel product tray.
- Removeable bottom trays are a superb design to save you processing time. By allowing the vials to sit directly onto
the shelf, temperature transfer is optimised.
- Filter seal trays are especially useful for freeze drying fluffy "fly away" products. The 6.5" opening is
sealed with filter paper, allowing rapid migration of moisture whilst preventing any loss of product.
- Thermaguard racks are designed to promote uniform drying across trays. A triple baffle reduces the effect of
radiant heat input on product located at the edges.

Spares and replacement parts are available from Biopharma, including seals / gaskets for condenser and chamber doors,
